ROUND – Men’s physique athletes perform 1 MINUTE “i walk” free posing in the middle of the front stage showing off their front and back and side muscles.
Posing is up to the individual and is to be interesting with personality and style. It’s up to the athlete how they transition from front pose to back pose, this is your time to shine so add some personality and style to your posing. Then walk back to the stage to wait to be called out to do quarter turns in a group for judging compassion for top 5 placing.
Men Physique are to wear board shorts (about an inch above the knees), and are judged based upon muscularity, body conditioning, symmetry, and stage presence.
The Men’s Physique division is one of the most aesthetically pleasing to the eye division. Athletes are to represent fitness and beauty with an aesthetic pleasant well-developed muscular upper and lower body with mass. physique and stage posing to flow with elegance. Men’s Physique are to be muscular ,but not as muscular or as striated or lean as Classic physique or Muscle Model. Your overall look will be judged including hair styles, shorts, tan, posing, stage presence and to be pleasing to the eye and to the health and fitness industry.
An aesthetic pleasing to the eye, pleasant healthy fitness look, with a well-developed muscular upper and lower body with mass.
Muscularity and size, good definition, leanness but not to the extreme, symmetry, and presentation (ability to display development during posing in the group comparisons). The targeted look is less extreme than in Men’s Classic physique category.
Competitors will first walk individually in the centre of the stage to the front of the stage remaining in the middle of the stage. There you will do 1 MINUTE free style posing turning at each point (in your own style) to show off your physique to the judges & photographers from multiple angles. This is your time to show off your individual personality and style.
Once all competitors have done their individual “i walk” the host will call out all competitors in a line to do quarter turns as a group. You will be asked to do 4 quarter turns and athletes may be called out in groups of 5-7 to be compared for placing by the Judges. Competitors should be staying tight, hard and maintaining good posture and flexing.
Men’s physique competitors should wear board shorts that are waist high and about an inch shorter than the knee. Tight fitting to allow some glutes and legs definition to show.
